About Omid
Omid helps make mental health care more accessible, responsive, and easier to navigate.
Omid Alemi is a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree and a background in clinical practice, program development, organizational systems, and contract administration. He draws on these strengths to improve and evaluate services, enhance service delivery, and build service networks.
At Your Counselling Nova Scotia, Omid supports the development of programs, partnerships, and service pathways that make mental health care easier to reach and navigate. Grounded in compassion and a systems-informed approach, he works to reduce barriers for individuals, families, workplaces, and community partners seeking support.
He plays a key role in program development, service agreements, employer and organizational partnerships, and quality improvement. His work helps strengthen the client journey, support clinicians, and keep services practical, evidence-informed, and responsive to community needs.
Omid believes that improving access to care strengthens not only individual well-being, but also the sense of connection and support available within workplaces, organizations, and communities across Nova Scotia.
