Why Group Therapy?
Group therapy offers benefits that individual therapy may not:
- Shared experiences: it helps to know you are not alone. You connect with others facing similar challenges, whether anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues or stress.
- Peer support: you offer and receive support from people who understand, which builds community and belonging.
- Varied perspectives: hearing how others manage their challenges can inspire new ways of thinking.
- Confidence building: sharing in a group strengthens communication and reduces feelings of isolation.
- Practical tools: each group is led by a licensed, experienced therapist who offers clinical insight, skills and guidance tailored to the group.
What to Expect
Our groups are led by experienced, licensed therapists who guide the conversation and keep the space respectful and confidential. Each session typically includes:
- Check-ins: share updates on your progress and any new challenges.
- Focused discussion: the therapist guides the conversation around the group’s common themes, such as coping strategies and emotional processing.
- Skills development: learn practical skills to manage stress, regulate emotions and strengthen relationships.
