Alison's Approach to Therapy
Alison brings a compassionate, client-centered approach to therapy, providing a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients can explore challenges, build insight, and develop practical strategies for meaningful change. Her work is grounded in evidence-based practice and informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, solution-focused approaches, and trauma-informed care, and she is thoughtful, collaborative, and attentive to each client's unique lived experience. Alison believes therapy is most effective when clients feel heard, respected, and empowered — helping individuals understand patterns that may be holding them back, strengthen coping skills, and reconnect with their values and strengths, in a safe and inclusive environment where they can move at their own pace toward goals that feel realistic and meaningful.
